Data & Methodology
This page explains where the information displayed by Filligo.fr comes from, how it is processed, and what limitations may exist. Our goal: transparency and understanding.
1. Data sources
Filligo.fr relies on external sources to display information related to stations and prices. Depending on the case, data may come from:
- the DGCCRF (public fuel price reference) for prices and related information,
- OpenStreetMap (OSM) for certain mapping and points‑of‑interest data,
- the IGN for cartographic and/or geographic reference data.
- Exact sources may vary depending on data availability and covered areas.
2. Collection and updates
Data is retrieved and synchronized at regular intervals to provide the most useful information possible. Despite this, a gap may exist between a source update and its display on Filligo.fr (latency, temporary unavailability, technical delays).
3. Processing
To make browsing easier, Filligo.fr may perform processing such as:
- normalization of certain fields,
- grouping and sorting of results,
- display calculations (e.g., approximate distance, proximity order),
- filtering based on selected criteria.
4. Distance, sorting and proximity
Depending on available features, Filligo.fr may offer sorting by proximity. The displayed distance may be an estimate based on location and available coordinates. It does not necessarily represent an exact driving distance.
5. Coverage and availability
Coverage depends on the information available from external sources. Some stations, fuels, or prices may be missing, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. The energy types displayed depend on received data and may evolve.
6. Quality and known limitations
Despite our efforts, errors can occur:
- outdated prices,
- station closed or temporarily unavailable,
- imprecise coordinates,
- missing or inconsistent information.
We recommend checking on site when the information is critical (e.g., before traveling).
7. Report an issue or ask a question
If you notice an inconsistency, you can contact us via Contact us. The more details you provide (city, station, fuel type, observed price, time), the easier it is to analyze the issue.
