Frequently asked questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Filligo.fr.
Prices shown come from declarations published by stations in the French official database. Between two updates, a small gap can exist (recent change, data entry error, station closed, etc.). The price shown on the station totem is always the reference.
If you notice a discrepancy, check the last update date on the station page, then report it via the contact page.
Filligo.fr displays stations listed in the official database. A station may be missing if it is not (or no longer) referenced, if its information is incomplete, or if it is not required to declare prices (some small stations).
You can report a missing station via the contact page, providing its name and address (or GPS coordinates).
A station may seem “out of date” if it hasn't sent a new update recently (unchanged prices, oversight, technical issue, temporary closure). In that case, displayed information can be less reliable.
Check the last update date on the station page, and if in doubt, rely on the price displayed on site.
“Unavailable” means the station reports it cannot dispense that fuel at the moment (often a temporary shortage). The fuel can become available again once replenished.
If you see the fuel is actually available at the station, you can report it via the contact page.
To show nearby stations, allow geolocation in your browser when Filligo.fr asks.
If you refused by mistake, you can re-enable it in your browser (or phone) settings, then reload the page.
If you notice an error (price, availability, address…), contact us via the contact page and include: the station, the fuel, the observed price, and an approximate date/time.
These details help us verify and escalate the issue more efficiently.
This usually means the station hasn't sent prices recently, the fuel is marked as unavailable (out of stock), or the data is temporarily incomplete. The station page shows the last known update date when available.
If the situation seems abnormal, you can report it via the contact page.
The last update date is the last time the station sent (or updated) its price/availability information in the reference database. The more recent this date is, the more likely the information matches the actual price.
If in doubt, the price displayed on site is the reference.
Use search (city / postal code) or geolocation, then sort results by price. You can also compare price and distance to choose the best trade-off.
On each station, check the last update date to assess freshness.
Filligo.fr relies on availability information published by stations (via the reference database) to indicate whether a fuel is available. Depending on updates, there can be a small delay between the displayed status and reality at the station.
If you notice an inconsistency, you can report it via the contact page.
No. Filligo.fr displays prices as published by stations in the reference database, without modifying them.
We can enrich the reading (sorting, filters, indicators, history when available), but we do not change the published price.
Use the search bar and enter a city or postal code. Filligo.fr will then show stations available in that area, which you can sort by price or filter by fuel.
If you enable geolocation, you can also switch to “around me” mode to save time.
The displayed distance is calculated from your position (if geolocation is enabled) or the searched location (city / postal code) to the station.
Depending on settings, it can be a “as-the-crow-flies” distance (quick approximation) or an estimate closer to the route. The map remains the best reference for the actual trip.
Filligo.fr aggregates several public sources:
- Fuel prices & availability: “Fuel Prices – real-time feed v2” dataset (French Ministry of Economy / DGCCRF).
- Station enrichment (address, services, hours, motorway areas): OpenStreetMap data via the Overpass API.
- Administrative boundaries (communes/EPCI/departments/regions): IGN ADMIN EXPRESS 4.0.
Yes. Filligo.fr uses cookies and browser local storage to remember your preferences and improve the experience: theme (light/dark/system), last fuel filters, last search location, and some cache elements for map display.
With your consent, Filligo.fr also enables Google Analytics 4 to measure audience (page views, navigation, performance). Personalized advertising is not enabled at this stage.
Filligo.fr uses your location only to display nearby stations when you allow it. Depending on your settings, the last search position can be saved locally in your browser (local storage) so you do not need to re-enter the area on each visit.
The location used for “near me” is not sent to Google Analytics 4. Filligo.fr uses Google Analytics 4 only for audience statistics, after your consent.
When you start a route to a station, Filligo.fr may ask you to choose your navigation app (e.g., the one on your phone). This choice is then saved locally in your browser so you don't have to select it every time.
The displayed position depends on the coordinates available for the station in the cartographic data. A station can be offset (approximate coordinates, data entry error, recent change).
If you spot a mispositioned station, report it via the contact page and include the station and the correct location (address or point on the map).
Yes, Filligo.fr can show stations on road networks, including motorways, as long as they are present in the reference data.
Note: motorway prices are often higher. To compare more easily, use filters and sort by price, or slightly widen the area around your route.
Filligo.fr shows fuels available according to data published by stations. In practice, this usually includes: Diesel, SP95, SP98, E10, E85 and sometimes LPG (GPLc), depending on stations.
The exact list depends on fuels declared by each station.
- SP95 and SP98 are two gasoline types with different octane ratings: SP98 is higher and often recommended for some engines.
- E10 is gasoline that can contain up to 10% ethanol. It is compatible with most recent gasoline vehicles, but not all.
The right fuel depends on your vehicle: check the fuel flap, owner’s manual, or compatibility label.
E85 (Superethanol) is compatible only with FlexFuel vehicles or vehicles equipped with an approved conversion kit (where applicable). Using it in a non-compatible vehicle can cause engine issues.
Before using it, check compatibility in the owner’s manual or with a professional.
AdBlue is an additive used in some diesel vehicles equipped with SCR technology (selective catalytic reduction) to reduce NOx emissions. It is stored in a separate tank from the fuel.
If your vehicle needs it, a warning light will indicate when to refill.
If you realize it before starting, do not turn on the ignition: have the tank drained by a professional.
If you already started/drove, stop as soon as safely possible and contact roadside assistance. Continuing to drive can worsen the damage.
Some stations perform a bank pre-authorization (often 100–150€ or more) at payment, especially at 24/7 terminals. This amount is then adjusted to the actual fill-up total.
Depending on your bank, the correction can take some time. If the amount doesn't correct, contact your bank or the station.
On some automated terminals, receipt printing can be optional or unavailable (paper out, breakdown). Check the terminal screen or pump.
If you need proof, you can request an invoice directly from the station (or keep your bank proof in the meantime).
Coverage depends on data availability for each territory. Filligo.fr shows stations and prices when data is accessible via the public sources used.
If you see no results for an overseas area, the data may be unavailable or not published in a comparable way.
If you search near a border, the map may naturally display stations just across it. However, prices and availability shown by Filligo.fr are limited to what is published in the French reference data: a station outside France may appear on the map but without prices (or with less information), depending on the data available.
Yes, you can save stations as favorites to find them faster. Your favorites are stored locally in your browser (and may depend on the device you use).
If you change devices or browsers, your favorites do not automatically sync.
Not yet in the current version. We plan to add alerts (per station and/or area) to notify you when a price drops or when a fuel becomes available again.
In the meantime, you can use favorites and quickly check changes via the station page.
Not yet in the current version. An availability alert feature (outage / restock) is planned, especially to track key stations around you.
In the meantime, the station page and its availability status already make it easy to see if a fuel is marked as unavailable.
Today, no: favorites (and your preferences) are managed without an account and stored locally in your browser.
If personalized alerts are added later, an account (or at least an email address) could be required to receive notifications.
Some information such as hours, services (car wash, air, LPG, etc.) or station type depends on data available in mapping sources. They can be missing if not provided or not up to date.
If you spot missing or incorrect information, you can report it via the contact page.
No, Filligo.fr does not show ads in the current version.
If that changes one day, it will be clearly indicated and separated from results (without influencing station rankings).
Two very close points can correspond to:
- a station and its “twin” on the opposite direction of traffic (especially on motorways),
- two entrances (or two entities) listed separately in the data,
- or a temporary duplicate linked to a source update.
If you see an obvious duplicate, report it via the contact page (station name/address and what you observe).
You can send your ideas via the contact page and include: what you want, why it’s useful, and if possible a concrete example (station / area / scenario).
We read everything and it helps us prioritize the roadmap.
